Anyone else want to play with this can add mrrat.forums@gmail.com to your Jabber (Google Talk) client

Then you need to change some profile setting here
go in to the User Control Panel (above)
click Profile
enter your Jabber (GMail) address where it says Jabber Address
click Board Preferences
under Notification Methods select Both

okay, done that. actually right now i'm using the html version with gmail, my computer is getting too slow lately to handle the active gmail account ... must be i'm always busy simultaneously with something else these days, sometimes 2 editors open as well, several browser windows etc. on 256mb RAM

I use Pidgin for my IM client. It lets me connect to all of the instant messaging services while running only 1 client.

why? does your provider have phpmyadmin installed, some have. you can also install it yourself. it helps to administer datatables. besides, it gives you the php commands to use with sql. they are similar to perl.

yeah, i used it to fix the forums this last time they broke
corrupted table
